Happy New Year! My word for 2025 is Community. We need each other more than ever and I will be doing what I can this year to build community.
But what does community mean to me. How will I work towards building community? Here is what I have been thinking about and it will be interesting to see where I am at the end of the year.
Community means to me: Talking with my neighbors, listening, being in my community (aka leaving my house more), hosting and participating in events, volunteering, supporting local businesses, taking care of myself, sharing, greeting others, and spreading joy.
I do many of these now but I enjoy setting an intention for the new year to help guide me and push myself to do even more.
Last year my word was reflect and overall I had a pretty nice year. I enjoyed time with my family, I researched, relaxed and really thought about what is next for me, which led me to my word for 2025. Although I wish 2024 election results were different the work always continues.
It will be an interesting year. ✌️❤️🌎
